The role is predominantly office-based with some requirement to attend the site during the deployment and commissioning phases.

 A major part of this role required PLC programming with front-end SCADA development. This role involves a great deal of communication with the client during the functional development and requirements capture stage, and also post-acceptance queries.

Responsibilities:

· Create software design specifications and associated documentation for the solution

· Development of PLC code in line with ISO procedures and defined standards

· Develop and manage GAMP documentation e.g., URS, FDS, DDS, FAT, SAT, IOPQ, etc

· Liaising with other Engineers on the implementation of SCADA software.

· Use of PLC programming software for Siemens PLCs/RTUs.

· Training of clients on the use of the application once implemented.

· Maintain consistency of the quality throughout all projects.

· Ability to work to deadlines.

· Maintenance of projects once implemented.

· General all-round Housekeeping of all PLC development projects.

Technical Skills

· Minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience in PLC solutions with (Siemens) 1200,1500, and S7-400

· Demonstrable experience in control systems design and application

· SCADA – TIA portal and WinCC

· Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications

· Networks: Ethernet/IP, Profibus, DeviceNet, ControlNet Interpersonal Skills

· Well-developed formal and oral communication and reporting skills at all levels in an organization. Highly organized work approach within a multi-tasking environment  

Education:

Bachelor of Electrical Power & Machines Engineering or Mechatronics
